When it comes to making free calls across the internet using Voice over IP technology, Skype is certainly leading the pack. With almost 26 million people having downloaded the software, Skype is the most used free internet application.

Developed by the people behind the file-sharing service Kazaa, Skype offers free internet telephony with another PC user as long as both have the Skype software.

If you're an existing Skype user, the first thing you'll notice is that the interface has had a makeover. Another key addition is the use of public chats, so you can now start a conversation between a group of people, whether you know those people or they're random users who happen to join your topic of conversation.

Skype Prime enables a small business, such as an advisor, to offer services over the Internet. SkypeFind is a new business and feedback system, that enables end-users to rate businesses it finds through Skype.

The latest Skype 3.2 contains new features, including the facility to send money to another Skype user through PayPal, take a video snapshot of yourself, invite Hotmail, GMail and Yahoo friends to a chat and additional import features.

Skype also added a feature called Skype Extra. One of those extras is called BitWine and it enables Skype Prime users to provide an even more cost efficient service using Skype.

To get it: start with Tools->Do More->Get Extra->Featured->BitWine

Few of the BitWine Extra benefits are that BitWine charges no commission, they pay you 10 minutes after every session and it does not require the buyer to pre-pay Skype credits.

Check it out. http://www.BitWine.com or from inside Skype.
